The Battleships
Our first session for the new year will be a fascinating DVD presentation on the evolution of the battleship.
This presentation covers over a century of naval history: from Nelson’s HMS Victory, a first-rate ship of the line, to the so-called “line of battle” sailing ships, the introduction of steam and the ironclads, and on to 1906 and the commissioning of HMS Dreadnaught.
This will be a very informative and interesting start to the year and members and guests are very welcome.
