HMA Ships HOBART, VENDETTA, ANZAC, DERWENT, YARRA, CURLEW, HAWK, and GULL, searched for survivors from MV NOONGAH, which foundered in heavy seas off Smoky Cape. Five of the ship’s crew of 26 were picked up.
