Become a volunteer

The Society relies on the work of volunteers, men and women, for all of its day-to-day operations – both at the National office as well as the interstate Chapters.

Many of our volunteers have a service background, others bring technical and professional skills, some are retired, and yet others are willing to lend a hand to whatever needs doing.

It’s a small but very effective team. Without the contributions of our volunteers, the Society could not exist. We pay no salaries yet we have great depth of experience and commitment to draw on week-in and week-out throughout the year.

If you are interested in joining the Society as a volunteer, contact the Garden Island office (there’s a contact form on this page), we’d be glad to hear from you.
