Our Speaker is our National President Captain David Michael RAN Rtd.

David’s naval career has encompassed most arms of the RAN and included Directorship of the Naval Heritage Collection and the Submarine Training and Systems Centre.  During the first ‘Gulf War’ he was Staff Officer Logistics Planning in Naval Support Command.

Whilst David is with us, he would like catch up as many members as possible and our colleagues at Waverley.

With us also will be Lieutenant Mario De Angelis RFD RAN and his wife, Anna.  Mario recently won our National essay competition with an article on ‘Autonomous Ships’.  During the evening David will present Mario with his prize.

YOU ARE VERY WELCOME TO JOIN US TO ‘MEET AND GREET’ OUR NATIONAL PRESIDENT!

The Waverley RSL is conveniently situated opposite the station in Glen Waverley, and the RSL car park is free but you need to display a ticket on your dash board (obtainable from reception).  The Warramunga restaurant opens at 5.30 and a number of us take the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal before the meeting in the Sunset Room.  Join us!  You are welcome.  As we need to book tables, please ring or email our Secretary, Rodney Phillips on 0466 983313 or rodneyphillips212@hotmail.com by the Friday prior.
